PPG Industries Inc. said Thursday its board of directors approved an increase in the company's regular quarterly dividend to 55 cents.
The paint and industrial coatings maker's previous quarterly dividend was 54 cents per share.
The company will pay the dividend on Sept. 10 to shareholders of record on Aug. 10.
Shares fell 40 cents to $64.12 in midday trading Thursday.
