MIDLAND, Mich. (AP) — Dow Corning said Tuesday that it plans to spend $13 million to expand its Europe-based research and development work on silicon-based technology.
Dow Corning will build two new buildings at its business and technology center on Seneffe, Belgium. One will be used for work on silicon-based materials while the other will be used to develop technology for use in photovoltaic cells.
Construction will begin later this year.
Dow Corning is jointly owned by the Dow Chemical Co. and Corning, Inc.
