Boeing Delivers 114 Jets In 2Q

Aerospace company said it delivered 114 commercial jets in the second quarter, down from 125 jets a year ago but better than the 108 planes it delivered in the first quarter.

CHICAGO (AP) -- Aerospace company Boeing Co. said Thursday that it delivered 114 commercial jets in the second quarter.

That figure was down from 125 jets a year ago but better than the 108 planes it delivered in the first quarter.

The majority were 737 passenger jets, one of the world's most commonly flown planes. Boeing delivered 95 737s, along with three 767s and 16 777s.

Boeing said its 2010 guidance remains unchanged at between 460 to 465 commercial airplanes.

Boeing shares rose 97 cents to $64.27 in midday trading.
