ST. LOUIS (August 30, 2010) – For farmers who planted DEKALB®, Asgrow® or Deltapine® products this season, immediate yield results can be only a text message away.
All three Monsanto seed brands are offering a new service, called LINK, which enables farmers to simply text in any DEKALB corn, Asgrow soybeans or Deltapine cotton product (i.e., DKC61-69, AG3130, DP0912) to 46786 to receive immediate yield results. Farmers can also reply via text with their ZIP code to receive local product yield results.
“We’re pleased to offer this new service that gives farmers a fast and convenient way to continually monitor the national and localized performance of their DEKALB, Asgrow or Deltapine products throughout the harvest season,” said Chris Chavis, DEKALB, Asgrow and Deltapine Marketing Lead.
Farmers ages 18 and over who use the LINK service through Dec. 15, 2010, will be entered automatically into a sweepstakes with the opportunity to win a credit for 40 units of Asgrow brand Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® soybeans, six units of DEKALB brand Genuity® SmartStax™ corn or six units of Deltapine cotton germplasm. To receive a copy of the contest rules, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope before Sept. 1, 2010, to Monsanto, P.O. Box 2669, St. Louis, MO 63116.
In addition, farmers who try LINK from the Asgrow and DEKALB booth at the 2010 Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa, will be entered into a drawing for an all- expenses-paid trip for two to the 2011 Top Producer Seminar in Chicago.
