SEVILLE, Spain (Reuters) - Spain's Abengoa expects bioethanol sales this year to jump to 2.85 billion litres from 1.6 billion last year due to new plants coming online, the chief executive of the renewable energy firm's biofuels unit said on Thursday.
Javier Salgado said in an interview that a new plant in Rotterdam was expected to reach full capacity within a month and a half, which, along with plants in Illinois and Indiana, would bring global capacity to 3.1 billion litres a year.
