A company spokeswoman confirmed the death in Thursday's explosion, but the company isn't releasing his name. He was a contractor doing maintenance in the plant.

The company, citing privacy laws, declined to provide information about the second person's injuries.

It wasn't immediately clear what cause the fire or where in the plant it occurred.
