DUBLIN (Reuters) - Ireland will re-open its airports from 0300 GMT after the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) imposed restrictions on all flights in and out of the country due to risk of abrasive volcanic ash from Iceland damaging aircraft.
"All Irish airports are currently restricted due to the presence of dense volcanic ash over Ireland. The current ash cloud is moving south westwards and airport restrictions will be lifted according to its progress," the IAA said in a statement.
Re-opening times will vary from 0300 GMT in Dublin to 0800 GMT in the southern county of Kerry, it said, adding overflights of Irish airspace between North America and Europe would continue as normal.
