RUIDOSO, N.M. (AP) — Some $9.75 million in federal stimulus funds will help pay to rebuild wastewater systems in Ruidoso and Ruidoso Downs that was damaged in a flood.
That announcement comes from the state director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Development, Terry Brunner.
The federal funds, along with state and local money, will be used to upgrade, replace and renovate the wastewater treatment system that serves both communities.
A groundbreaking ceremony for the project is set for today.
