Tornado-Damaged Plant to Restart Production

Complex Chemical Co. will begin producing its lube oil additives again this weekend, even as employees continue to haul off rubble from the site.

TALLULAH, La. (AP) — A chemical company damaged in an April tornado is ready to begin production again.

Complex Chemical Co. owner Jerry Melton, who saw his Madison Parish Port facility mangled by the April 24 tornado, said in The News-Star that the company plans to begin producing its lube oil additives again this weekend.

The company already had restarted a small production unit about two weeks ago and has targeted June 4 to be back into full production even as employees continue to haul off rubble from the 20-acre site.
