Kudos: Dow Chemical

Dow Chemical Co., Midland, MI, has been named winner of an American Chemistry Council Responsible Care Energy Efficiency Award. Dow is being recognized for an energy intensity improvement of 22 percent from 1995 to 2005 as well as leadership in external promotion of energy efficiency and conservation. The 22 percent reduction in energy intensity resulted in an energy savings of 900 trillion BTUs, enough to power eight million U.S. homes for a year.
