ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is poised to announce millions of dollars in economic development awards.
The Democrat will join Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul and local leaders from the state's 10 economic regions for the announcement Thursday at the Empire State Plaza in downtown Albany.
Up to $750 million will be divided up between the regions.
Cuomo's administration has used state investments in an attempt to spur growth in high-tech manufacturing, biotechnology, renewable energy, nanotechnology and startups.
