Eastman Named Among Top 100 Military Friendly Employers
KINGSPORT, Tenn., November 10, 2010 – Eastman Chemical Company has been ranked 89th on G.I. Jobs annual list recognizing the nation’s top Military Friendly Employers.
“It’s an honor to be recognized on this list again this year,” said Norris Sneed, senior vice president with responsibility for workforce planning and recruiting. “Eastman appreciates the leadership, expertise, and values veterans bring to the workplace.”
Eastman was selected from a pool of more than 5,000 companies with annual revenues of at least $500 million. Criteria for the rankings included assets dedicated to military hiring, Reserve/Guard policies, percentage of new hires who are veterans, veteran training programs, and the previous three years’ rankings.
The G.I. Jobs Military Friendly Employers list, in its seventh year, serves as the primary benchmark of corporate recruiting programs aimed at veterans. The complete list can also be found at G.I. Jobs.
