OSAKA -- NTN Corp. said Monday it will establish a plant in Thailand to produce bearings and other automotive parts with an investment of around 2.5 billion yen to meet growing demand in Southeast Asian markets.
The Osaka-based maker said its second Thai plant in Chonburi Province will start production in October.
It also said it will jointly build a new factory with Takao Kogyo Co., another auto parts maker based in Aichi Prefecture, on the same premises as the new plant to promote start-to-finish production.
The two companies aim to start operations in February next year and to export their products to Europe and the United States in the future.
