On Thursday, October 13, 2011, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
(EPA) Region 4 Administrator Gwen Keyes Fleming will be the keynote
speaker at the 2011 Interfaith Environmental Initiative of Alabama
(IEIA) Forum in Birmingham, Ala. The forum will be held at the
Birmingham Botanical Gardens from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30
p.m.
IEIA Forum 2011 brings together a
unique combination of partners around the table including: faith
leaders; scientists and science educators; environmental, business
and industry leaders; energy and water providers; and
consumers.
EPA Regional Administrator Keyes
Fleming will be speaking on EPA & Collaboration. The
program will also include presentations by various groups with
topics such as:
· Building Forward from the Storms with Energy and Water Efficiency, sharing ways that rebuilding can utilize these technologies and this expertise to strengthen communities;
· IEIA in Actionwill follow, from the Energy Efficiency, Faith Communities & Homes, Youth Policy Summit, Water / Energy Connection, and Website Working Groups.
The Forum is participatory, with round-table conversations interspersed throughout the day.
