Washington, D.C. - National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) President and CEO Jay Timmons issued this statement today following President Obama’s request that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) halt its discretionary reconsideration of current ozone air quality standards:

-  National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) President and CEO Jay Timmons issued this statement today following President Obama the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) halt its discretionary reconsideration of current ozone air quality standards:

Manufacturers still face a great deal of uncertainty from regulations looming on the horizon, including the Boiler MACT rule, the Utility MACT rule, the National Labor Relations Board.

If policymakers want manufacturers to help put the economy back on solid footing, we need policies that enable us to create jobs, invest and compete in the global marketplace.
