Suzuki To Recall 55,146 Swift Cars

Suzuki Motor Corp. said it will recall 55,146 Swift cars in Japan, made between September 2010 and April 2012, due to possible gasoline leakage.

TOKYO (Kyodo) -- Suzuki Motor Corp. said Monday it will recall 55,146 Swift cars in Japan, made between September 2010 and April 2012, due to possible gasoline leakage.

Suzuki also said it will deal with the same problem on about 54,000 exported cars according to the local rules of destination countries.

In a report filed with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the automaker said an inadequate connection between a rubber fuel filler hose and the fuel tank could cause gasoline to leak.
