Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno Continues Statewide “100 Businesses Initiative” with visit to GE Healthcare

(Trenton, NJ) – Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno today continued her “100 Businesses Initiative” with a visit to the North American hub of GE Healthcare Life Sciences in Piscataway. This is one in the series of 100 meetings around New Jersey that the Lt. Governor will personally make with business owners and local leaders.

“Operating in more than 100 countries worldwide, GE Healthcare is working to reduce costs, improve quality and increase access to healthcare,” said Lt. Governor Guadagno. “The Piscataway team is developing some exciting and ground-breaking technologies which will have a real impact on patient care. This Administration is pleased to support innovators like GE Healthcare throughout the State.”

As part of GE’s $6 billion global health strategy, healthymagination, the scientists at Piscataway are working with the company’s flagship cellular imaging technologies. GE Healthcare’s innovative tools play a key role in research laboratories world-wide, helping scientists understand the processes and mechanisms behind human disease.

“We are so pleased that Lt. Governor Guadagno included GE Healthcare in her 100 Business Meetings Initiative and toured our facility in Piscataway today,” said Tom Giordano, General Manager of GE Healthcare Life Sciences Americas. “Our company has benefited from New Jersey’s nurturing of innovation and we welcome the efforts of the Christie Administration in creating a supporting business environment for Life Sciences in this state.”
