Public Meeting on Temporary Cleanup Plan for Ten-Mile Drain Superfund Site (MI)

(CHICAGO – July 22, 2011) The
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will hold a meeting on July 26
to take comments on a proposed interim cleanup plan to periodically
remove PCB oil and contaminated sediment that accumulates in the
Ten-Mile Drain system in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. The meeting
begins at 7 p.m. at the Blossom Heath Inn, 24800 Jefferson Ave.,
St. Clair Shores. The public comment period ends Aug. 6,
2011.
Prior to the meeting, EPA will hold an
informal open house from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Blossom Heath Inn. A
fact sheet explaining the proposed cleanup plan, site documents and
information about submitting comments can be found at
