Shri M.S. Dagur, IAS takes charge as the new MD of GACL
-- Shri M S Dagur, IAS, has taken charge as the new Managing Director of Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited from July 19, 2011 upon transfer of Dr. Guruprasad Mohapatra, IAS as Municipal Commissioner, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. Shri Dagur holds the position of MD GACL in addition to his existing posting as Commissioner (Reh.) & Principal Secretary, Narmada Water Resources, Water Supply & Kalpasar Department, Govt. of Gujarat.
Shri M.S. Dagur is a senior IAS officer from the batch of 1984. He also has a Post Graduation degree in Political Science from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur and MBA from the University of Birmingham, U.K.
Shri M.S. Dagur, brings to GACL wealth of experience that he has garnered over the years by being in significant positions like Collector of Dang, Mehsana, Bhavnagar and Gandhinagar. He has also worked as Joint Secretary/Addl. Secretary in the Dept. of Planning, Civil Supplies, Panchayat & Tribal welfare. He has also held the post of Special Commissioner of Sales Tax, and Commissioner of Trade & Commerce. He has attended many National, International training programmes and seminars and has presented papers in many forums including foreign institutes and IIM, Ahmedabad.
