Siemens VAI Metals Technologies won an order from the stainless steel producer Viraj Profiles Ltd. to supply an AOD (argon-oxygen decarburization) converter for its plant located in Tarapur, Maharashtra, India. The new converter will enable the company to expand the stainless steel output required for its rolling mills. The project is scheduled to be completed by mid-2011.
