EPA Photo-Op at Walters School in Marshall, Michigan (MI)

(Chicago – May 3, 2011) U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency Regional Administrator Susan Hedman will formally
recognize Walters Elementary School and the Marshall School
District on Wednesday, May 4, for their contribution to the
Enbridge oil spill response.
In late July and August of 2010, emergency
operations for EPA and the other response agencies were based at
Walters Elementary School. On Wednesday, EPA’s Hedman will
dedicate a tree to the school during a brief ceremony attended by
students, teachers and school administrators. Representatives from
the other agencies and local governments have been invited to
attend.
