GE Appoints Three New Company Officers
FAIRFIELD, Conn.--12 May 2011-- GE today announces the appointment of three new company officers. GE currently has 195 GE officers globally. GE officers lead large revenue generating businesses or are in critical functional roles, helping to drive growth.
Below are the details of GEs new company officers:
Ronnie S. Hawkins, 42, has been named vice president of Business Development for GE Energy. In this leadership role, Hawkins is responsible for identifying inorganic growth opportunities for the $38 billion Energy business and leading a global group of 50 professionals focused on all aspects of business development from deal origination to transaction execution. Under his leadership, the Energy business development team has delivered over $11 billion in pending or closed acquisitions since October, which are expected to add over $6 billion of revenues to GE Energy. Hawkins joined GE in 2009 as General Manager Business Development for the Energy Business.
Prior to GE, Hawkins was an investment banker covering the broad energy sector. He was a managing director at Citigroup Global Markets, responsible for covering global integrated and exploration and production oil companies. Previously, he was a managing director in the global energy group of Credit Suisse.
Hawkins earned a dual Bachelors Degree in Economics and Latin American Studies from the Honors Collegium of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and also studied at the Universidad Catolica de Chile.
Prady Iyyanki, 41, has been appointed vice president for Oil & Gas, GE Energy.
Iyyanki has been with GE for 14 years and prior to his current role, he was the business leader for the Jenbacher gas engines business, where he and the team grew the business to twice its size through increased globalization, services focus and product portfolio expansion, including the recent acquisitions of a new heat recovery business platform, as well as the Waukesha gas engines unit of Dresser Industries. Before joining GE Energy, Iyyanki served GE Aviation as General Manager for the GE90 Platform and held several leadership roles in GE Transportation, including Service P&L Manager for CSX. He started his career with General Motors JV in Springfield as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
Iyyanki received his Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering in India and his Masters Degree in Engineering in the U.S.
Michael J. Swinford, 41, was named president and CEO, Global Services for GE Healthcare. In this role, Swinford will create new growth platforms for this $5B global enterprise that expand our service reach and capabilities. This strategy includes building a framework that drives service growth across our product lines while expanding our current success in asset management and education services across the globe. Swinford has held numerous leadership roles across GE's Healthcare business throughout his 18 years at GE.
Prior to this new appointment, he was General Manager Americas Services, where he transformed the business from strictly a maintenance services provider to providing solutions that solve some of healthcares toughest challenges around cost, quality and access. A key part of this was building the $700 million Asset Management business aimed at helping healthcare clients eliminate waste, improve asset utilization, and operate more efficiently.
Swinfords strong operational focus, commercial background, and emphasis on new technologies created a world-class service culture that helped grow the business to a $2.5 billion franchise centered on helping clients deliver quality patient care.
Previously, he was the General Manager Multi-Vendor & Clinical Services and General Manager Multi-Vendor Services. Swinford has a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla.
