GE Centricity Perioperative Manager Receives ONC-ATB Certification from Drummond Group as Modular EHR
BARRINGTON, Ill. – May 13, 2011 -- GE Healthcare is pleased to announce that GE Centricity* Perioperative Manager 7.5.3 was certified as a Modular EHR on April 28, 2011 by Drummond Group Inc. and considered to be 2011/2012 Meaningful Use compliant. Modular certification indicates that Centricity Perioperative Manager supports some certification criteria associated with meaningful use objectives, helping to enable providers qualify for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
Drummond Group made the designation in its capacity as an Office of the National Coordinator – Authorized Temporary Certification Body (ONC-ATCB) in accordance with the applicable Eligible Hospital certification criteria adopted by the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Drummond Group’s ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that EHRs meet some or all certification criteria for either eligible professional or hospital technology. In turn, healthcare providers using one or more certified EHR systems to satisfy all applicable meaningful use criteria are eligible to receive federal adoption incentives upon demonstrating meaningful use of the technology -- a key component of the federal government’s push to improve clinical care delivery through the adoption and effective use of EHRs by U.S. healthcare providers.
Centricity Perioperative Manager, which met requirements for Modular EHR Certification for hospitals, is a perioperative scheduling, documentation, supply chain management and billing solution that helps hospitals and providers to optimize clinical and financial outcomes.
This EHR Module is 2011/2012 compliant and has been certified by Drummond Group, an ONC-ATCB approved to certify any complete or modular EHR, both ambulatory and inpatient, in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
