The Turkish steelmaker ?zmir Demir Çelik Sanayi A.S. (IDÇ) ordered a new medium-section mill from Siemens. The mill will be erected in the Foça works and is designed for an annual production of 400,000 tons of section steel. IDÇ intends to expand its rolling capacity and to add to its product range sections with cross-sections of up to 300 millimeters. The new rolling mill will be commissioned at the end of 2012.
