Dynatek dalta Scientific Instruments, the leader in the testing of cardiac and vascular devices, announces the launch of their fourth generation Stent and Vascular Prosthesis Tester (SVP24).
Dynatek's SVP24 utilizes a Hyper Drive linear motor to produce an adjustable bellows compression which allows for physiologically relevant stent loading conditions for up to 24 test samples from physiological to accelerated testing rates of up to 150Hz. The newly redesigned tester features a highly accurate and easy to use laser micrometer system that provides real-time tube distention feedback that can be used to monitor the test or to control the test in closed-loop operation. The large number of samples also greatly benefits manufacturing QA when ongoing testing of approved stents is required.
Dynatek will unveil the SVP24 at the Medical Design and Manufacturing (MD&M) Midwest show September 28th - 30th, 2010. This is the second newly released machine this year for Dynatek: the SVP24 is being released only a few months after the CDT20 (a 20 sample Coating Durability Tester designed to test drug-eluting stents, which counts and sizes particulate matter shed by drug-eluting stents while undergoing precisely controlled radial fatigue testing). The SVP24 allows users to test up to 24 samples in a smaller footprint than earlier generations and has undergone many upgrades to facilitate greater ease of use. The universal controller allows the user to control and monitor the temperature, frequency, and pressure and provides the ability to establish, maintain, and recall required test parameters -- all with greater control and in a smaller package than previous control systems. Dynatek plans for future upgrades using advanced SCADA technology to allow complete lab monitoring of all testers from a single computer. Data generated by the SVP24 complies with all pertinent AAMI/ISO and ASTM standards.
