Unlimited Realities, a leading provider of touch technology software for consumer electronics products, today announced that its Fingertapps suite of applications has been licensed by a leading PC manufacturer for use in multiple desktop computers. Fingertapps' multi-touch casual game applications are now shipping with the Inspiron One 23 from Dell, the world's second largest PC maker. Dell has previously licensed Fingertapps' applications for the Studio One 19, the Inspiron One 19 and the Studio 17 laptop, among the first desktop computers to offer out-of-the-box multi-touch applications.

The consumer electronics market for multi-touch devices and software is just beginning to materialize. Growth is being spurred by desktop and mobile computer makers, as well as software providers like Microsoft which last year launched Windows 7, the first multi-touch enabled operating system. According to market research firm iSuppli, independent software vendors are set to play a central role in the booming market for touch screens in mobile and desktop PCs, providing the differentiating features that will allow the interface technology to expand its appeal to new users and segments.

Unlimited Realities has been developing touch software since 2005. The company's extensive experience in developing multi-touch applications, coupled with a robust professional services offering and the ability to deliver new products quickly, has proven an attractive combination for PC makers launching new devices. The products and services provided by Unlimited Realities include a variety of touch applications and the ability to add touch functionality to third-party applications. In addition to the applications themselves, Unlimited Realities has wider capability to deliver customized application launchers, which allows users to easily navigate their desktop with touch gestures to find and initialize applications. Among the Fingertapps' applications licensed by Dell for its current products are:

"This has been an incredibly busy period for Unlimited Realities," said Ben Wilde, vice president of marketing and business development for Unlimited Realities. "The desktop touch market has taken off, with dozens of devices on the market already and many more coming. What's been missing are the applications that make touch fun as well as functional for the consumer. That's where we come in and we're excited to include Dell on our growing list of customers."
