Aaron's is changing the name of its furniture manufacturing plants as the company rebrands.

Aaron's, which rents and sells furniture, said Friday that it will change the name of its 11 plants to Woodhaven Furniture Industries. The production arm of the company had been called MacTavish Furniture Industries.

Aaron's is working to become more environmentally friendly at its production facilities by recycling scrap material and using more sustainable wood products in its furniture along with other steps.

The company is headquartered in Atlanta and operates more than 1,730 stores in 48 states.

Shares of Aaron's Inc. rose 11 cents to $17.79 in trading Friday.
