PEMCO Insurance Earns SAMMY Award for Outstanding Marketing and Communications

SEATTLE, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- PEMCO Insurance is proud to announce it recently earned several awards for outstanding marketing communications, including the "Best of Show" SAMMY award, from the Insurance Marketing and Communications Association (IMCA) at its 52nd annual Showcase Awards in Atlanta.

SEATTLE, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- PEMCO Insurance is proud to announce it recently earned several awards for outstanding marketing communications, including the "Best of Show" SAMMY award, from the Insurance Marketing and Communications Association (IMCA) at its 52nd annual Showcase Awards in Atlanta. The marketing awards recognize the company's "We're A Lot Like You. A Little Different." ad campaign.  

In a June 29 ceremony held during IMCA's annual conference, PEMCO received a total of seven awards: four "Awards of Excellence," two "Best in Show," and the coveted SAMMY award, which is appointed for "Best of Show" by conference attendees.  PEMCO earned awards across several marketing and communication categories including radio and television advertisements, corporate social media, and external corporate communications campaigns.  

This year's IMCA awards highlight PEMCO's work in corporate social media through its community site (www.werealotlikeyou.com) that features more than 50 "Northwest Profiles" from PEMCO's ad campaign along with other interactive elements.  PEMCO's SAMMY award recognizes the popular "4-Way Stop, You Go. No You Go. No You Go. Guy" TV ad that humorously depicts a common Northwest intersection foible.

The entries were judged by marketing, advertising, writing, graphics, and audio-visual professionals from within and outside the insurance industry.  The teams of judges evaluated each entry using scoring criteria that considers effectiveness and functionality, audience, focus, content, and presentation.  

PEMCO also was awarded for an external corporate communications campaign that rallied the Puget Sound community around a fundraiser to benefit the families of local fallen police officers.
