CIBER a Strategic Partner to Alion for DOD Technology Support Contract Valued at up to $2 Billion

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo., Aug. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CIBER Federal, a division of CIBER, Inc. (NYSE: CBR), announced today that it is a Strategic Partner on the Alion Science and Technology Corp. (Alion) team. Alion is one of nine government contractors to be named to the Department of Defense's Software, Networks, Information, Modeling and Simulation (SNIM) Technology Support Contract. The five-year, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, which was awarded May 24, is worth up to $2 billion.

The contract is designed to improve information access , sharing, and security. SNIM consolidates customer-funded efforts of three DOD Information Analysis Centers (IACs). Operating under the direction of the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC), CIBER (through Alion) will provide subject matter experts to assist government organizations with technical challenges. The contract combines Technical Area Tasks (TATs) previously performed under the Data and Analysis Center for Software (DACS), Information Assurance Technology Analysis Center (IATAC), and Modeling and Simulation Information Analysis Center (MSIAC).
