OnPoint Awarded DOE NNSA IARC Security Operations Center Contract

ARLINGTON, Va., July 29 /PRNewswire/ -- OnPoint Consulting Inc. (OnPoint), a leading provider of comprehensive IT and Information Assurance solutions to the U.S. Government, announced it has been awarded a 5-year, $52 million order under the Alliant Small Business contract vehicle for operation of the Department of Energy (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Information Assurance Response Center (IARC).  Located in Las Vegas, NV, NNSA's Information Assurance Response Center (NIARC) is a facility that continuously monitors all activity going through the Nuclear Security Complex (NSC) computer firewall system, providing intrusion detection and event forensics.

NNSA was established by Congress in 2000 as a separately organized agency within the Department of Energy.  NNSA is responsible for the management and security of the nation's nuclear weapons, nuclear nonproliferation, and naval reactor programs.  It also responds to nuclear and radiological emergencies in the United States and abroad.  Additionally, NNSA federal agents provide safe and secure transportation of nuclear weapons and components and special nuclear materials along with other missions supporting the national security.  Given the national security implications of NNSA's mission, NIARC provides 24x7x365 security monitoring for NNSA's unclassified and classified networks encompassing 13 NNSA and DOE sites.  In addition, NIARC provides enterprise systems support and classified cyber security incident management for NNSA.

"We are honored that NNSA has selected OnPoint and our team members, Paradigm Solutions and Syracuse Research Corporation, to protect and monitor its critical systems.  NNSA's decision highlights the OnPoint Team's commitment to superior customer service through the retention and development of the best and brightest technologists, a focus on best practice implementation, and dedication to continuous improvement," said OnPoint's Executive Vice President, Michael Agrillo.
