Wavelink Corporation (www.wavelink.com (http://www.wavelink.com) ) today announced the appointment of Jay Cichosz as vice president of marketing. Cichosz, a company and industry veteran, has been with Wavelink for more than a dozen years, most recently as director of marketing.

As vice president of marketing, Cichosz is responsible for the overall strategic and tactical direction of Wavelink's marketing, communications and public relations activities. He oversees the development and enhancement of Wavelink's image and position in the industry and works closely with Wavelink's distributors and resellers.

"Jay has demonstrated a proven track record while at Wavelink in both product management and marketing," said Lamar Van Wagenen, president and CEO of Wavelink. "He has an extensive knowledge about our company and industry that leads to his ability to deliver clear, strategic messages that communicate the benefits of our solutions. He has proven successful in strengthening our brand, and we are confident in his ability to continue to solidify Wavelink's leadership position in the marketplace."

During his time at Wavelink, Cichosz has served as product director, product manager, director of product management and director of marketing. These roles have given Cichosz a unique understanding of the company's products and future roadmap. Prior to Wavelink, Cichosz was with the Boeing Commercial Airplane Group in project management and electrical manufacturing and has owned his own business. Cichosz received a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Montana State University, and he has also achieved certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP).

"I look forward to continuing my efforts at Wavelink in enhancing the company's leadership in the industry," said Cichosz. "As I work closely with the company's management team and its distributors and resellers, I am excited for the future as we have developed a strong product roadmap that will allow us to further differentiate ourselves and will meet the needs of our customers."
