WATERTOWN, Mass. (AP) -- Lithium ion battery maker A123 Systems Inc. said Tuesday that its chief financial officer is leaving.
Michael Rubino will leave A123 on Jan. 14 to join a Boston-based "clean tech" startup, the company said.
Rubino guided the company from its early financing through a 2009 initial public offering. Prior to working for A123 Systems, he served as the CFO of Maker Communications, which was acquired by Conexant Systems after a successful IPO, and of Agile Networks, which was acquired by Lucent Technologies.
Shares of A123 dropped 19 cents, or 2.1 percent, to close at $9.
