Welspun Tubular Names Delie President

Company says it has hired a new president for its operation in Little Rock, where the pipe manufacturer is undergoing a $30 million expansion.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) -- Welspun Tubular says it has hired a new president for its operation in Little Rock, where the pipe manufacturer is undergoing a $30 million expansion.

India-based Welspun announced Tuesday that David Delie, who has 30 years experience in the industry.

Welspun is adding 230 jobs as it undergoes its expansion. Once the work is complete, Welspun will have more than 600 workers. The factory started production last year.

The company is a leading manufacturer of line pipe, and the Little Rock factory is Welspun's first U.S. site.

Welspun makes line pipe for oil and gas well operations, on shore and off.

In addition to Little Rock, Welspun has three plants in India and one in Saudi Arabia.
