DMP Names Lider New GM Of Wisconsin Operations

Dickten Masch Plastics (DMP), a custom thermoplastics and thermoset molder based in Wisconsin and Iowa, has named lean manufacturing expert Carl Lider as its new general manager of Wisconsin operations.

NASHOTAH, Wis. -- Dickten Masch Plastics (DMP), a custom thermoplastics and thermoset molder based in Wisconsin and Iowa, has named lean manufacturing expert and recent Iraq War veteran Carl Lider as its new general manager of Wisconsin operations.

Lider, a Six Sigma black belt, lean facilitator and value stream leader and trainer, has worked at DMP for over 12 years, most recently as Plant Manager in Wisconsin.

As a U.S. Army reserve soldier, he was deployed to Iraq as the Executive Officer for the PSYOP (Psychological Operations) Task Force, for which he was awarded a Bronze Star.

In his new role at DMP, Lider will be responsible for the production and logistics of Wisconsin operations, continuous improvement, customer satisfaction and maintaining the company’s core values.

“My immediate goal is to apply my lean experience to our continuous improvement initiatives at DMP,” said Lider. “This will be very much a team approach that will position our organization for further success.”

Lider possesses more than 20 years of manufacturing experience, including 12 years at DMP. Previously, he worked contract assembly and logistics for General Motors, in Janesville, Wis., which gave him a solid working knowledge of the automotive industry -- a key growth area for DMP since the company last year won contracts with several automotive OEMs to assemble fluid level indicators.

In his tenure at DMP, Lider has focused strongly on operations and quality. He has held positions of Sr. Quality Engineer, Production Manager, Process Engineering Manager and, most recently, Plant Manager. He was instrumental in developing and growing DMP’s thermoset plastics business with many of the company’s current customers.

His education includes undergrad studies at UW Platteville in Industrial Engineering, a B.A. from Lakeland College and a M.S. from Marion College.

He has served in the military for the past 27 years and currently holds the rank of major. In addition to his role at DMP, he is the Commander of 393 Tactical PSYOP Company in Aurora, Ill.

“Lider is a major part of Dickten Masch’s recent successes,” said Steve Dyer, president and CEO of DMP. “We are happy to have him back from Iraq and managing the Wisconsin plants in this position.”
