Intel CEO Kicks Off Chip Maker's Confab

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Intel Corp. CEO Paul Otellini kicks off the chip maker's annual conference for developers Monday in San Francisco.

His keynote is expected to illuminate the company's next steps in its technological roadmap and plans for its chips beyond personal computers.

Otellini's commentary is also closely watched for clues about the health of the PC industry.

Intel is the world's biggest semiconductor company. Its processors are the "brains" of 80 percent of the world's PCs.
