SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (AP) -- Development stage drugmaker Rigel Pharmaceuticals Inc. said Tuesday that Chief Operating Officer Raul Rodriguez has been named president of the company.
Rodriguez, 49, has been Rigel's COO since June 2004.
Rigel shares rose 52 cents, or 8 percent, to $7.04 in morning trading.
