Buhler Rolls Out Farm Equipment At S.D. Plant

The first three grain-handling augers have been built at Buhler’s Salem, South Dakota, plant since the Canada-based company purchased the facility in February.

SALEM, S.D. (AP) -- Buhler Industries Inc. has started moving product out of its manufacturing plant in the South Dakota town of Salem.

The Canada-based company earlier this year bought the assets of Feterl Manufacturing Corp., which had closed the plant in October 2008 and filed for bankruptcy last year.

The first three grain-handling augers built at the plant since Buhler's purchase in February went to dealers on Wednesday.

Buhler also has manufacturing plants in Manitoba and one in Fargo, N.D.
