Silicon Mechanics Names New President

Eva Cherry becomes first female to assume role of chief executive for Washington-based manufacturer of servers, storage, and high-performance computing hardware.

BOTHELL, Wa. -- Silicon Mechanics announced Eva Cherry has assumed the role of President for the Bothell, Washington-based manufacturer of rackmount servers, storage, and high-performance computing hardware.

Cherry joined Silicon Mechanics in April of 2008 as Vice President of Operations. In that capacity, she implemented strategic changes to the organization’s operations that streamlined production processes, improved quality assurance, and enhanced financial management practices.

Cherry, who is the first female to serve as a Chief Executive for Silicon Mechanics, has extensive professional and educational background in technical operations. Prior to joining Silicon Mechanics, she served as Chief Executive Officer of Net-Inspect, LLC, a subsidiary of QPM Aerospace, which she served as Executive Vice President. She has specific expertise in business process and system design and implementation.

Before her work for QPM Aerospace, she was a Senior Manager at Deloitte Consulting, specializing in Business Development and Project Delivery. She has worked with numerous prestigious clients on projects including the Hewlett Packard and MCI (Worldcom).
