WILMINGTON, Mass. (AP) -- A unit of industrial conglomerate Textron Inc. on Thursday named Ian Walsh chief innovative officer and Tom McNamara chief technology officer.
Walsh and McNamara will serve in those posts, both part of the executive team, for Textron Systems.
Walsh will be responsible for engineering and program management, information technology, integrated supply chain and Textron Six Sigma. Prior, he was the senior vice president and general manager of Lycoming Engine, a Textron unit.
McNamara, previously senior vice president, will refocus Textron's Advanced Solutions Center as the newly formed Office of the Chief Technology Officer.
Shares of Providence, R.I.-based Textron fell 12 cents to $15.52 in afternoon trading.
