ST. LOUIS -- Patrick J. Finneran Jr. has been named president and chief executive officer of Sabreliner Corporation, a St. Louis-based aviation services provider with operations in Missouri and Kansas.
Finneran recently retired as vice president of The Boeing Company’s Integrated Defense Systems and in April joined Sabreliner as executive advisor to Chairman F. Holmes Lamoreux, who appointed Finneran to the newly created position of president and CEO. Finneran, who was also elected to the company’s Board of Directors, reports to Lamoreux. Most of Sabreliner’s senior executives who had reported to Lamoreux now report to Finneran.
“Sabreliner Corp. has been growing, and Pat Finneran has the aerospace industry executive experience to help guide our development and performance in the years ahead,” said Lamoreux. “We look forward to his leadership.”
Finneran joined McDonnell Douglas Corp. in 1987 following a distinguished 20-year career in the U.S. Marine Corps, and shortly thereafter was appointed vice president and general manager of the AV-8B Harrier program. McDonnell Douglas became part of Boeing in 1997.
Over the years Finneran held numerous positions within McDonnell Douglas and Boeing, including vice president, general manager of the F/A-18 aircraft programs; vice president, general manager of all production aircraft programs; and president of Boeing’s Support Systems, a $7 billion division. During his last year at Boeing, he served as vice president, operations and supplier management and vice president, program management and business excellence.
Sabreliner also announced other management promotions and organizational changes, including:
-- D. C. Iain Glendinning, named to fill the newly created position of chief information officer, with additional responsibility for systems and processes beyond IT. He also continues to oversee the company’s Independence, Kan. operation.
-- Tom Arnold, promoted to vice president and corporate controller, assuming additional management responsibility for Tim King, who is leading a proposal group as director, pricing and estimating; and Steve DeBarry, who becomes operations controller and continues as IT director.
-- Jerry Wade, promoted to senior director, facilities and special projects
-- Pat Quinn, who has returned to Sabreliner in the new position of senior director, engineering and flight operations, which includes product integrity
-- Rolfe Wagner, appointed director, planning and scheduling.
