AKRON, Ohio (AP) -- Plastics maker Myers Industries Inc. said Monday it has named David Knowles as its new chief operating officer.
Knowles, 48, will oversee manufacturing, distribution, sales, marketing, research and development and other areas.
He had been CEO of Aristech Acrylics LLC since 2003. Before that, he was vice president and general manager at Honeywell International in its performance products business. He has also worked in a variety of roles at M.A. Hanna Co. from 1991 to 2000.
Myers is based in Akron, Ohio. Its shares closed Friday at $8.57.
