PERRYSBURG, Ohio (AP) -- Glass maker Owens-Illinois Inc. said Tuesday that it hired Radhika Batra as vice president and chief procurement officer.
Batra will lead the company's global strategic sourcing function and help its regional operations increase buying power.
Batra joins Owens-Illinois from Solutia Inc., a manufacturer of chemical and engineered materials, where she was vice president of business process in the CPFilms segment. She previously served as vice president of supply chain and global procurement at Solutia.
Shares of Owens-Illinois rose 73 cents, or 2 percent, to close at $37.53.
