AeroVironment CFO Resigns

Designer and producer of unmanned aircraft systems and efficient electric energy systems said CFO Stephen Wright is stepping down to pursue other opportunities.

MONROVIA, Calif. (AP) -- AeroVironment Inc., which designs and produces unmanned aircraft systems and efficient electric energy systems, said Wednesday that Chief Financial Officer Stephen Wright is stepping down to pursue other business opportunities.

Wright has served as CFO since September 2002. His resignation is effective immediately, but he will remain with the company through April 30, the end of its fiscal year. AeroVironment said Jikun Kim, currently the company's controller, will serve as interim CFO.

Shares fell 11 cents to $26.86 in morning trading.
