SEYMOUR, Ind. (AP) -- The snowy winter seems to be helping out a southern Indiana company that's in the snow shovel business.
Seymour Manufacturing Co. marketing manager Chris Herbert says it has seen a jump in orders the past couple of weeks for the 10 models of shovels it makes.
He says that the 100-worker company can turn out up to 1,000 shovels a shift. The company started making snow shovels about 15 years ago and also produces ice scrapers, chisels and roof rakes.
Herbert says its most recent orders have gone to Ohio, Pennsylvania and Tennessee -- all of which have been hit by snowstorms in recent weeks.
