SUNNYVALE, Calif. (AP) -- Chip maker Silicon Image Inc. said Tuesday it named Camillo Martino as CEO.
Martino, 47, previously worked as chief operating officer at SAI Technology Inc.
In September, Steve Tirado resigned as CEO and President of Silicon Image. Hal Covert was then appointed president and chief operating officer. He will remain president of the company and serve on the board through a transition period ending Sept. 30.
Shares of Silicon Image rose 6 cents, or 2.2 percent, to finish Tuesday's trading at $2.76.
