Clarient CFO Stepping Down

Medical device maker said Wednesday Raymond J. Land will step down as chief financial officer and will be replaced by Michael R. Rodriguez.

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. (AP) -- Medical device maker Clarient Inc. said Wednesday Raymond J. Land will step down as chief financial officer and will be replaced by Michael R. Rodriguez.

The transition will take place Dec. 7. Land, 64, will remain with Clarient as a consultant until the final fiscal 2009 accounting is completed.

Rodriguez, 42, most recently served as chief financial officer at Irvine-based medical device maker Endocare.

Shares of Clarient fell 2 cents to $2.41 in afternoon trading.
