Sensient Technologies Names New President, COO

Specialty chemicals maker elected Neil Cracknell as president and chief operating officer.

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Sensient Technologies Corp., a specialty chemicals maker, said Thursday its board of directors elected Neil Cracknell as president and chief operating officer.

Cracknell was most recently president of the company's flavors and fragrances group. He succeeds Robert J. Edmonds, who had served as president and COO since 2007. In a Securities and Exchange Commission filing in February, the company said it would not re-elect Edmonds to the board and that Edmonds will leave the company soon to pursue other opportunities.

Sensient shares fell 21 cents to $22.63 in afternoon trading.
