Kenneth Cole Announces New President Of Wholesale

Shoe- and handbag-maker said Tuesday Chris Nakatani has been named president of wholesale, effective immediately.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Shoe- and handbag-maker Kenneth Cole Productions Inc. said Tuesday Chris Nakatani has been named president of wholesale, effective immediately.

Nakatani, who replaces Richard Olicker, takes responsibility for women's and men's shoes, handbags and apparel for all brands in the Kenneth Cole portfolio. Olicker resigned in February.

Before joining Kenneth Cole, Nakatani worked as corporate executive vice president of strategic planning at Perry Ellis International.

Nakatani also worked at Tommy Hilfiger and Polo Ralph Lauren Corp.

Shares of the company rose 21 cents, or 4.2 percent, to $5.24 in afternoon trading.
