Plug Power Announces New CEO

Hydrogen fuel cell manufacturer has named Andy Marsh, co-founder of direct current power systems company Valere Power, as its new president and chief executive officer.

LATHAM, N.Y. (AP) -- Hydrogen fuel cell manufacturer Plug Power has named Andy Marsh, co-founder of direct current power systems company Valere Power, as its new president and chief executive officer.
 
Marsh replaces Plug Power CEO Roger Saillant, who retired on Monday. Details of Marsh's contract were not released.
 
Marsh, 52, was CEO of Richardson, Texas-based Valere Power from 2001 until 2007 when it was sold to Eltek ASA. During that time, the company grew to 200 employees and had $90 million in annual revenues from selling its DC power products to the telecommunications sector.
 
Marsh has 25 years of experience with the telecommunications sector, the major market for Plug Power's GenCore backup power system.
