Volkswagen Of America Names New Exec

Effective Jan. 1, chief executive Stefan Jacoby will assume the additional role of executive vice president as part of a realignment of the brand's management team.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) — Volkswagen of America Inc. said Thursday its chief executive will assume the additional title of executive vice president of the Volkswagen brand as part of a realignment of the brand's management team.
 
Stefan Jacoby's new appointment is effective Jan. 1. He replaces Adrian Hallmark, who will transfer to corporate parent Volkswagen AG to lead Volkswagen sales and marketing initiatives for the Asia Pacific region.
 
In addition, the company named Michael Lohscheller executive vice president and chief financial officer for Volkswagen of America.
 
Lohscheller previously served as Volkswagen AG's director for group marketing and sales planning.
 
And Falk Beil was named executive vice president for service and quality for Volkswagen of America. He has held a variety of posts since joining Volkswagen AG in 1988, the company said.
